Cold, wind, and the village
On the mine tracks, close your eyes to move or dismiss the statues in the way, and watch the forks. Cold drains you unless you stand near Potboy. In the wind, hide behind the marked stones. If Potboy’s flame goes out, a match lights it again.
In the village the old Crone is gone from her spot. Throw a match into the fire pit to reveal a key. Light the gas engine with the Matchlock and the gate opens. A giant cat statue, half-dead villagers, Mother’s Mask, the manor on the hill, a left arm, and Auntie Murkle all sit in this chapter’s story.
Four bones, and the Coldhaven misspelling
The Crone at the graves wants four bones buried. The story Nintendo World Report retells is a child executed for stealing the last matches to save a freezing cat. The right arm is in the snow by the graves. The leg is inside the dream, among coffins, found with your eyes closed. For the left arm, follow the newly opened route to the locked house on the hill. Use the Mother’s Mask puzzle to access the woods, lure the crawler with candlelight, then retrieve the key from the sleeping-creature cave and return to the house. Take the left arm inside and return it to the grave. For the skull, follow the next opened path to the old man, who wants a lullaby. Follow the sound through the closed-eye dream sequence, collect and light the Song Catcher, travel back through the wardrobe, and give it to him. Return the skull to the grave, send Potboy into the unlocked furnace, then light the girl’s match to finish the task.
