Source notes
The PlayStation listing is the source for the release date, optional PS VR2 mode, and Extra catalog access. Physical-edition information comes from Pix’n Love. No unsourced PS5 Pro or frame-rate benchmark is asserted.
What the PS5 version is
It launched 8 May 2025 at $39.99. On 22 October 2026 the standard price I saw was $29.99, with a 55 percent sale at $13.49 that the store timed to end 22 October 2026 at 06:59 UTC. That sale has expired as of this 23 October review; do not budget on that discount. Recheck the price page and the store.
Sony listed it in the Extra and Premium Game Catalog from 14 October 2026 in the US and UK (15 October in Japan), playable on PS5 or PS VR2. That is subscription access, not a permanent license; Essential’s monthly games are separate. Claiming steps are on the PS Plus page.
PS VR2
The store marks PS VR2 as optional, and Sony’s October 2026 PlayStation Plus announcement explicitly says the game can be played on PS5 or PS VR2. You do not need the headset to play the flat-screen version.
Flat play answers are on is it VR only.
Trophies and the disc
PlayStation has 16 trophies, including the platinum. 100pguides estimates about seven hours at 2/10 difficulty; chapter select allows collectible cleanup. The route is the trophy guide.
Pix’n Love sells PS5 physical editions (a standard First edition and a collector’s box). The First Edition page lists 27 February 2026; the Collector page estimates the first quarter of 2027. Compatibility with PS VR2 is something Pix’n Love states for the disc. Stock and shipping are on the physical page.
