The Midnight Walk price
The number to remember is $29.99. Anything lower on this page was a dated sale. Launch day, 8 May 2025, was $39.99; the late-October 2026 sale took Steam and GOG to $13.49.
Source notes
Prices are US-dollar storefront observations unless another currency is stated. Steam, GOG, and the Nintendo eShop were rechecked on 3 November 2026, after the October sale ended. Older discounts are identified as dated observations rather than current offers.
What the stores showed
Prices checked 3 November 2026: Steam $29.99 (US, no discount); GOG US $14.99, 50% off $29.99, with no end date shown on the store page that day; PlayStation US $29.99, or included with PS Plus Extra and Premium; Nintendo eShop US $29.99 after its $14.99, 50%-off offer ended on 1 November 2026 at 06:59 UTC. Regional storefronts and checkout totals can differ; recheck before purchase.
The late-October 2026 sale is history now: Steam and GOG were $13.49 (55% off) through 2 November, and the eShop $14.99 through 1 November. It is kept here because “why is it $29.99 again” is a fair question. PS Plus Extra and Premium included the PS5 catalog copy in October 2026. That is a subscription, not a purchase. See PS Plus.
Physical prices, different currencies
On 23 October 2026, Pix’n Love displayed €33.25 for First Edition and €141.58 for Collector (500 units); compare the final checkout total because taxes and shipping depend on destination. Super Rare Games’ current product pages displayed £38.50 for the Switch 2 standard edition and £53.50 for the special edition in the checked storefront; tax and delivery are calculated for the buyer at checkout and stock may change. See the physical page for contents and direct product links.
Only two history points
Official launch coverage and the PlayStation price history both put the first price at $39.99 on 8 May 2025. The standard digital price on 22 October 2026 was $29.99, six days before Steam and GOG cut to $13.49 for the late-October sale. I do not have the date the $39.99-to-$29.99 cut happened, and I do not have a key-shop comparison. Buy from the store list.
