18 GB · GTX 1070 · no recommended list

PC system requirements

Steam publishes one column, and it says the column is for the flatscreen version. There is no recommended PC spec, and there is no separate VR minimum.

Source notes

The official Steam API minimum is the reference for this page. Its 18 GB figure is available disk space, not a measured download size, and the accompanying note limits that specification to flat play.

The only official PC list

Minimum, flatscreen, as Steam prints it: Windows 10, Intel Core i7-6700K, 16 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070, 18 GB available space. VR support on the same block names Index, Quest via Link, Rift S, and Rift. The additional note says these requirements are for the regular flatscreen version. I will not add a recommended RTX card, because the page does not have one.

  • OS: Windows 10
  • CPU: Intel i7-6700K
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1070
  • Storage: 18 GB available space
  • VR, optional: Index, Quest via Link, Rift S, Rift

Cards under that line

Hardware outside the published minimum has no compatibility promise here. A GPU name alone cannot establish performance: drivers, resolution, RAM, and VR mode all matter. Check the applicable store refund terms before buying to test an unsupported configuration.

Switch 2 is a different download: 14.7 GB on the Nintendo page, and no PC GPU story at all. Deck is a PC in a shell; the badge is discussed on the Deck page, not as a second minimum.

If the machine clears the list

Buy from Steam or GOG. Links and the warning about cracked installers are on download. Picture options after you are in are on controls and settings.
