Comparisons · not a second wiki
Games like The Midnight Walk
People reach this game from other games: a small body in a huge dark, stop-motion textures, a story you walk rather than fight. These are likenesses, not a shopping list I padded.
Source notes
These comparisons concern camera, atmosphere, stealth, and the creators’ earlier work. They are editorial similarities, not claims that the games share a story, gameplay systems, or a new comparative playtest.
The near neighbours
Little Nightmares puts a small figure in a world of oversized threats and asks you to sneak. The Midnight Walk does the same job in first person, with a flame instead of a lighter’s worth of puzzles, and with clay that was scanned from real models. If that series is why you are here, you will recognise the scale. You will not recognise the combat, because there is none.
Inside is the other frequent name: a walk through a designed nightmare, short, linear, and more interested in a last image than in a skill tree. The Midnight Walk is longer than a single Inside sitting only by a little. Main story is about 4–6 hours. It is also much more handmade on the surface. The fingerprints are the feature.
Same hands, earlier games
MoonHood is the studio behind this game, formed from people who made Lost in Random, Fe, and Ghost Giant at Zoink. Lost in Random is the closest cousin in tone: storybook dark, a companion, a world that looks built rather than rendered smooth. It is a different game, third-person, with its own combat. I am not writing its walkthrough here.
If the clay is what you want and the other titles are only “also dark,” start with the wiki so you know Potboy, the Burnt One, and the six chapters before you buy.
What this page will not do
It will not rank ten horror games, and it will not tell you The Midnight Walkers is the same night. That is a different game. The Walkers page exists so the names stop colliding.
Buy this one from the store list if the clay walk is the thing you wanted. Use the score roundup if you are still deciding whether five hours is enough.
Common questions

In scale and sneaking, yes. It is first-person, clay, and has no combat.
Is it Lost in Random?
No. Same broad studio history, different game. This page does not guide Lost in Random.
Is The Midnight Walkers the same?
No. Different game. See the Walkers note linked from the footer.
